The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, in partnership with Wildlife Forever, is hosting the Florida State Fish Art Contest again this year. Students up to 12th grade can compete in this free contest for a chance to win state and national honors, and prizes.

The Fort Myers Beach Art Association & Gallery announced the winners from its Winter Juried Show - Movement and Energy (which continues through February 10). First Place was awarded to Cheryl Fausel for The Three Faces of Frieda.  

During December, a record-breaking 1,085,569 passengers traveled through Southwest Florida International Airport in Fort Myers. This was an increase of 68 percent compared to December 2020.
