The Neighborhood Company has been hired to create a rendering design of the future Times Square on Fort Myers Beach. Times Square was demolished by Hurricane Ian on September 28, 2022 and the property owners in that area have been less than aggressive about rebuilding.

The Fort Myers Beach Town Council has approved $68,200 to pay for Lee County Sheriff's Deputies to help move traffic along at two busy locations on Fort Myers Beach. Here are all the details.

Everyone on the south end of Fort Myers Beach is anxiously awaiting something, anything, to open in Santini Plaza. Those that live and vacation on the south end not only miss their favorite retail location at Santini, they despise getting stuck in the traffic to the north end.

On Wednesday the Lee County Procurement Management Department chose international company Stantec Consulting Services to design and permit (not build) the Fort Myers Beach pier. It's the first step in what's expected to be a 4-year process to rebuild the structure.

Dixie Fish Company on Fort Myers Beach recently celebrated its ninth anniversary. Originally built in 1937 as The Dixie Fish Co., the tin-roofed, open-air building has survived many hurricanes. Storm surge during Ian reached 18 feet, closing the restaurant for months.

The Fort Myers beach Town Council approved $2.7 million from an $8 million Florida Department of Emergency Management grant to begin hauling new sand onto Fort Myers Beach. The project could begin at the end of next week.

The 12th annual Fort Myers Beach Woman's Club Putt & Pub, held this past Saturday, took in a total of $70,000. After expenses the Woman's Club will be donating $55,000 to Fort Myers Beach nonprofits.
