Diamondhead Staff Thwarts Credit Card Scammers
Thieves apparently tried to pull a fast one on the staff at Diamonhead resort last week. Many of you noticed a swarm of Lee County Sheriff's Deputies near Hoosier's on November 23rd that snarled traffic and had the coconut telegraph abuzz about what might be going on.
Driver That Took Out Pole is OK
Alcohol or drugs were not suspected in the one-car crash that took place the day before Thanksgiving across from Beach Pottery on San Carlos Boulevard. The driver of the vehicle, 31-year old John Bailem of Lehigh Acres, sustained minor injuries in the crash that caused an estimated $20,000 worth of property damage.

60 Angels Adopted This Year
The Fort Myers Beach Library reported 60 angels were adopted by local residents during the annual Angel Tree sponsored by the library and the Garden Club. December 1st is the deadline for returning unwrapped gifts to the library so they can be delivered to the families in need in time of the Christmas holiday.
Kids Foundation Auction Underway
The annual Beach Kids Foundation holiday auction is being held online again this year due to COVID. The auction provides Christmas gifts to Beach Elementary students and their families. So far the auction, which runs through December 6th, has raised over $4,500. Check out the auction items HERE.
