If the Fort Myers Beach town council follows its own rules, there are only two meetings to go (May 3 and May 17) to evaluate Town Manager Roger Hernstadt's performance. The Monday meeting agenda is out and his review is not on that agenda.

House Passes Transgender Bill

The Florida House has passed a bill banning transgender girls from participating in women’s sports. Supporters of HB 1475 also called the “Fairness in Women’s Sports Act" say the bill will preserve the integrity of women's sports because transgender girls have an unfair advantage.

Fort Myers Beach taxpayers continue to wait. Town Manager Roger Hernstadt's performance must be reviewed by this town council, in a public meeting, before the end of May. There are only 2 more opportunities for that to happen.
