Pool To Get New Slide

On Tuesday the Town Council will consider replacing this slide at the Fort Myers Beach pool due to safety concerns. The company town staff selected will install a similar slide and "they can do it quickly." Town staff will recommend that the price of $98,000 for the new slide is fair.

St. Patrick’s Day Parade Canceled

The parade which has been organized by Fort Myers Beach Mayor Ray Murphy for over two decades will miss its second consecutive year due to COVID. The parade, held on the south end, from the Santini Plaza to the Church of the Ascension, has been rescheduled for March 17, 2022.

Brighter Bike Lanes Could Be On The Way

As a way to make bike lanes more visible and safe, and encourage more people to bike rather than drive, the Fort Myers Beach Public Safety Committee is hoping this Town Council will approve a plan adopt more green bike lane paths along Estero Boulevard.
