The multi-million beach renourishment project on Fort Myers Beach is officially underway. Construction will begin on the north end of the beach near Bowditch Park, which will serve as the first staging area for equipment to access the beach.

Powerblock Builders and Keep Lee County Beautiful are hosting a road cleanup on Fort Myers Beach Friday from 9:30 to 11AM. The cleanup will start at Mango Street and end at Connecticut Street. Setup is at 170 Washington Street. Lunch will be served at Margaritaville after the cleanup.
