Fort Myers Beach Town Manager Andy Hyatt has been on the job for one year. On May 6th the Town Council will evaluate Hyatt's performance so far. That evaluation will be held out in the open at the council meeting. Here's how the Council will grade Hyatt.

Earlier this week, the Times Square Committee, which is made up of Times Square property owners, sent a preliminary rendering of a proposed new Times Square. The rendering was sent to several Town Council members and the Chamber of Commerce.

Beach Renourishment Bids To Be Opened Today

Bids will be opened this morning at 10:35 for the massive pipeline beach renourishment project the town is hoping to start in June. The bids were originally expected to be opened Monday April 15th, then they were moved to Friday the 19th before being moved to today.
