Lee County says The parking lot at Lynn Hall Park on Fort Myers Beach will close temporarily tomorrow as contractors will be on-site to perform survey and boundary work for rebuilding the park’s restroom building. The lot will reopen Thursday.  

Jacksonville, Florida native Curtis Ludwig has been hired as the new Harbormaster for Fort Myers Beach. He'll be paid a salary of $70,000, $2,500 to relocate, insurance and a retirement contribution. All in, salary and benefits, taxpayers will pay Ludwig $93,112.90 per year.

This past Saturday Beach Talk Radio's 2nd Annual Day Before Mother's Day 5K resulted in $6,500 being raised for the Fort Myers Beach Woman's Club. With Hurricane season three weeks away the town of Fort Myers Beach wants residents to be ready. This Friday from 10AM to 2PM a Hurricane Expo will be held at the Mound House. Hurricane supplies will be available and local meteorologists will be in attendance.
