According to our friend Jan Fleming, the Friends of The Library book sale the past weekend was a smashing hit. The total raised from the sale of books, CD’s and DVD’s was $3,071.
Flemming said this past weekend was big, very big. “In all the years that I have been involved, this was the most money we have ever made. The Friends of the Library would like to thank all the volunteers who helped us out and all the customers who walked out with bags full of books, CDs, and DVDs. So many were generous and made significant donations. We appreciate our community and our visitors.”
The final big book sale of the season will be held March 26th & 27th.
The Friends of the Library donates $20,000 a year to the Library Director for his wish list of new items for the library.
