As red tide intensifies in southwest Florida, Captains For Clean Water has shifted its 7th anniversary celebration into a water quality update. The free event is tonight from 6PM to 8PM at the Captains For Clean Water offices on Jackson Street in Fort Myers.
The event will include a water quality update from the founders of Captains for Clean Water, followed by a question and answer session.
There will also be an exclusive premiere of their film, SB 2508: A Death Threat to Everglades Restoration. The film chronicles last year’s battle against a proposed piece of legislation—Senate Bill 2508—and the community’s victory in the fight to protect Florida’s water.
Snacks & Cocktails will be available.
Space is limited. Reserve your tickets HERE.
What victory? The one that was voted in years ago when Scott was governor? Where did that money go and what has been accomplished? Not much. DeSantis will promise anything now that he is running for President. I have met and admire Captains for Clean Water because they just keep on fighting. Good job, now hold Ron’s feet to the fire!
