Doc Ford’s Rum Bar & Grille employees recently spent a morning giving back at the Gulf Coast Humane Society. The Fort Myers Beach crew assisted with a variety of projects, including cleaning kennels, doing laundry, sorting food and helping maintain the shelter’s facilities.
“Volunteering at Gulf Coast Humane Society has become an annual tradition for our team,” said Rebecca Vizcarra, general manager of the Fort Myers Beach Doc Ford’s. “They look forward to it every year, knowing they’re making a difference for the shelter and its animals.”
The volunteer day also inspired a personal connection to the shelter’s mission when an employee’s sister-in-law adopted a dog. She also plans to join Doc Ford’s next volunteer effort. Employees first volunteered at the nonprofit in June 2025.
