Film Festival is Underway

Independent filmmakers, actors, and directors and patrons locally and from across the globe are are sharing their creative cinematic storytelling at the 15th Annual Fort Myers Beach International Film Festival, taking place now through September 19th at the Beach Theater.

The 2021 Fort Myers Beach International Film Festival has expanded to over five days including its opening reception, screenings, filmmaker meet-ups and morning coffee talks finishing with a closing awards reception. New and returning patrons will experience various genres ranging from shorts packages, documentaries and features produced by local, national, and international independent filmmakers.

“We’re so grateful to be able to once again support independent filmmakers and their projects in person. Being able to bring back our Festival in person to the Fort Myers Beach community means so much to the organizers, volunteers and our patrons, said Festival executive director, Janeen Paulauskis.”

Over the last 15 years, over 2,200 shorts, features and documentaries have been screened at this film festival. The Fort Myers Beach International Festival serves to educate, entertain, and elevate the craft of independent filmmaking.
