We asked Florida Department of Transportation representatives to come on Beach Talk Radio this weekend to discuss the foot of the Matanzas Pass Bridge project. Here’s what they told us.
D’Juan Harris, the Southwest Area Office Project Manager, declined our invitation at this time, stating the timing wasn’t right for a public interview. “There are several components within this project that may change over the next several months. It would be more appropriate to wait until we hold our public hearing to ensure the information we are conveying to the public has been vetted and solidified within the department.”
Harris said he expects the public hearing on the project to be held sometime between December of this year and April of next year.
The work on the project is not expected to begin until 2023.
