The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission is asking for feedback from the public on rules related to the reporting requirements for injuries, bites, and escapes involving captive wildlife.

The wildlife includes capuchin monkeys, spider monkeys, woolly monkeys, venomous reptiles, or other reptiles of concern.

FWC is reviewing these rules in an effort to increase public safety, animal welfare, and consistency of its rules.

A copy of the draft rule language (Rule 68A-6.018, F.A.C.) can be viewed HERE.

Anyone interested in providing feedback regarding the rule can go HERE or by attending on of four upcoming workshops.
