A new commercial business operation will be open later this year. The owners of the new food truck park on Estero Boulevard, across from the old Town Hall property, will break ground on their new facility Monday at 9AM.

The Fort Myers Beach Town Council approved the project over a year ago. The name of the operation is Access 26 which lines up with the beach access behind the business.

The plan is to have 5 food truck pads, outdoor seating including right on Estero Boulevard, bike racks, restrooms open to the public during operating business hours (including showers), a paid parking lot with 45 spaces open to the public during operating business hours, a 3000 square foot 2-floor main building that serves beer and wine on the first floor with offices and storage on the 2nd floor. Live music will be in the main open structure which has three sides and faces Estero Boulevard to try to deflect the sound from the neighbors as much as possible.
The approval comes with several conditions, the biggest involved the music. Myers agreed to limit amplified live music to 3 days per week, with only a solo or duo act, for up to four hours per day between the hours of Noon and 8PM. There is no restriction on ambient background music. On a 4th day Myers can have other types of entertainment such as bingo or karoke.

  1. This was always a commercial lot and we are excited to have more places to eat and enjoy different foods. We can’t wait for them to open. The ice cream shop will be so great for the kiddos (big and small!) . It will be great to have a place to stop, park our bikes, have a drink and a bite. Thanks Access 26!!!

  2. It is trash but small potatoes to the slum truck park coming to the south end with over 200 parking spaces with beach access. It’s sad for us residents what is happing. The slum lords are here and at a detriment to the residents who have to put up with them. Not to mention the meager tax revenue their slums generate for the island.
