It’s been over 2 years since SanCap Bank announced the purchase of a .41 acre piece of property on Estero Boulevard with plans to open in 2026. Nothing has happened since that announcement. That will all change Tuesday.
During the Local Planning Agency meeting Tuesday, representatives from SanCap bank will pitch their new building plans which include “an elevated two-story bank/office structure above an open ground level containing access, service functions, storage, drive-through facilities, and landscaped/open areas.” They are requesting 4 variances.
SanCap Bank purchased the .41 acre piece of land located at 2670/2680 Estero Boulevard, across the street from the library, for $1.795 million. Prior to Hurricane Ian, the building on
that lot was a real estate office with a vacation rental above the office. After the purchase SanCap announced plans to break ground in early 2025 and be open in 2026.
We’ve reached out to SanCap representatives to see if they have a planned ground breaking date in mind.
