Local musicians played for free and raised money all day long at Wahoo Willie’s Wednesday to help out fellow musician Frank Thomson who suffered a massive heart attack late last year.

Stephen Clark organized the event and gave us the details on how the $18,350 came in:
– $2,889 from Wednesday’s tip jar while the artists were playing.
– $2570 from a silent silent auction.
– $418 from a 50/50.
– $2800 from gift certificates from Wahoo Willies, S.O.B. and Snug Harbor.
– $9,146 was donateed to a GoFundMe.
– $530 direct donations to Clark.

The money will be used to help pay Thomson’s medical bills.

  1. This is awesome! Beach people are so different in a good way! Off islander but so grateful that I get to feel that sense of community when I am on the beach.
