The Sanibel City Council will hold a special meeting Wednesday night to review the applications of 9 finalists for the City Manager’s position. Long-time Sanibel City Manager Judy Zimomra is retiring this month after 20 years on the job.
The council is expected to shorten the list to 5 finalists at the Wednesday meeting. Those finalists will then come to Sanibel for in-person interviews at the end of September.
Another special meeting will be held on September 30th so the council can rank the finalists.
A decision who will take over running the day-to-day operations of Sanibel is expected to be chosen in early October.
