It’s been exactly four months since the Town Council passed an ordinance to create a Nuisance Abatement Board following the murder of Johnny Jackson at The Lani Kai.
Since then the town has been looking for residents to fill the 7 seats created by the ordinance. This week we found out there are 8 applicants. Here are their names…

The town council will go through the applications and determine if 7 of those 8 applicants should be approved or if any should be rejected.
The Nuisance Abatement Board will consider cases that involve crimes such as murder, drug dealing, gang activity, illegal gambling, prostitution and assault. And, there needs to be two reports of such activity in a 6-month period. $50,000 has been set aside to get the board rolling.
