Mrs. Ortega's 4th and 5th graders sang the National Anthem at the Florida Everblades hockey game this past Saturday. 7,299 fans went crazy for the kids who did an amazing job. Unfortunately the Blades lost to Kansas City 4-2. Check out the video from the kids singing....

Full Postal Delivery Coming in Weeks

That's what the flyer posted at the temporary Post Office on Carolina Avenue on Fort Myers Beach stated. Beach residents have been without mail delivery since Hurricane Ian came through town on September 28th.

That's according to Fort Myers Beach Vice Mayor Jim Atterholt. And that's good news because Lee County School Board members are saying having Bay Oaks ready to provide after school care will be tied to any rebuild of the Beach School.

Town Revises Easement Language

The major roadblock the Fort Myers Beach Town Council was having getting residents to sign easements to renourish the beach was that property owners were concerned that by signing they would give up their property rights because the new sand is taxpayer funded.
