Chamber Business After Hours Returns
The Fort Myers Beach Chamber of Commerce is hosting its first Business After Hours since Hurricane Ian hit. La Ola Restaurant in Times Square will host Thursday, February 16th from 5PM to 7PM with free appetizers and a cash bar. Attendance is free for FMB Chamber members, $15 for prospective members. The 218 encounters took place during SCCF's nighttime sea turtle tagging program, which includes daily night patrols spanning 13 weeks. The encounters included 125 unique female sea turtles.

La Ola Opening Bell Tower Location
Restaurant owner Tom Houghton has signed a 7-year lease for his new La Ola restaurant in Bell Tower on Cleveland Avenue in Fort Myers. The 4,136-square-foot location with 1,843 square feet of outdoor space is expected to open in March.

Lynn Hall Park could open for parking on April 15th. The entire Lee County owned park and parking lot has been closed and untouched since September 28th when Hurricane Ian came through Fort Myers Beach.

The Bailey-Matthews National Shell Museum’s annual benefit gala will feature comedian Kevin Nealon for the second year in a row. Proceeds from this year’s event will support rebuilding the Shell Museum following Hurricane Ian.
