It was part of a bigger $100 million beach renourishment package for 16 coastal counties impacted by Hurricane's Ian and Nicole. The money is to address coastal erosion resulting from the two storms. No word if any of those funds will come to Fort Myers Beach

Contractor Arrested For Working Without a License

The Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation is cracking down on unlicensed contractors. 25-year old Zackary Hartman is in the Lee County jail this morning, charged with impersonating a contractor during a state of emergency.

Pinchers Opens Back Up

108 days after Hurricane Ian damaged nearly every structure on Fort Myers Beach, Pinchers, on San Carlos Boulevard is back open. The restaurant has been closed since the day of the storm. The San Carlos Boulevard location first opened in June of 2005.
