The 218 encounters took place during SCCF's nighttime sea turtle tagging program, which includes daily night patrols spanning 13 weeks. The encounters included 125 unique female sea turtles.

Restaurant owner Tom Houghton has signed a 7-year lease for his new La Ola restaurant in Bell Tower on Cleveland Avenue in Fort Myers. The 4,136-square-foot location with 1,843 square feet of outdoor space is expected to open in March.

Lynn Hall Park could open for parking on April 15th. The entire Lee County owned park and parking lot has been closed and untouched since September 28th when Hurricane Ian came through Fort Myers Beach.

Our Sidewalk Sweep Was a Smashing Success

About 300 people took to the sidewalks of Estero Boulevard to sweep sand that had been piling up since Hurricane Ian. The sand was preventing people from safely walking on the sidewalks and bikers from safely riding.
