On Tuesday, Congressman Byron Donalds canceled his Town Hall event that was planned for Wednesday night at the Beach Baptist Church on Fort Myers Beach. No reason was given by the Donalds camp for canceling the event.

With 64% of the vote Lindsay Scott Garza defeated incumbent Archie Hayward for Lee County Judge. Garza, the daughter of former Lee County Sheriff Mike Scott, defeated the 14-year incumbent with 76,671 votes to Hayward's 42,179. This election is non-partisan.

Donalds Also Wins Easily

Incumbent U.S. Congressman Byron Donalds won his primary challenge Tuesday with nearly 84% of the vote. His Republican challenger Jim Huff could only pull in 16%. Donalds will face off against Democrat Cindy Banyai in November.
