Suzie Bahan's application for an adult video arcade at 185 Old San Carlos was rejected by the Fort Myers Beach town council Monday. And while the council did not believe that type of business fit into the code for that area, not all was lost for Bahan.
Town Adds 35 Parking Spots
In an effort to help alleviate the town's parking issue due to an abundance of construction in the downtown area, 35 parking spots at town hall are now available to the public on weekends.
Linda Beasley Wins First Women’s Club Holiday Drawing

Jacki To Speak To Women’s Club
On Wednesday night the place to be is at the Fort Myers Beach Women's Club meeting (men are welcome). FMB Chamber President Jacki Liszak will be the guest speaker. She'll cover what the Chamber does, legislative priorities, clean water and the economics of the island. The meeting begins at 6:30PM and the Club is located at 175 Sterling Avenue.
Resiliency Compact to Hold First Meeting
Elected officials from Lee, Charlotte and Collier counties are meeting Friday as part of the Southwest Florida Regional Resiliency Compact. Fort Myers Beach joined the group earlier this year. It's being organized by FGCU Professor Mike Savarese who we interviewed about the organization back in February.
Lovers Key Offers Wild Photography Classes
