The cold weather last weekend did not keep boat lovers inside as thousands attended the 7th Annual Lovers Key Boat Show and Seafood Fest. Show Director Mark Generales tells Beach Talk Radio News that despite Saturday's frigid temperatures it was the best single day attendance in 7 years.

Jorge Rivera will be arraigned before Lee County Judge Robert Branning on February 28th at 8:30AM. Rivera is accused of driving drunk and killing a 54-year old woman from Michigan while she was riding her bike on Estero Boulevard January 27th.

While authorities had Estero Boulevard blocked off for the traffic death investigation, another vehicle drove through the area. Fort Myers Beach resident Denise Karda was arrested, charged with driving drunk.
