Chambers Pause Luncheons, Bring in Vaccine

Due to the spike in COVID-19 cases the Sanibel/Captiva Chamber has placed a pause on in-person monthly luncheon meetings. It has also scheduled a visit from the Golisano Children’s Hospital Mobile Pediatric Vaccination Clinic.

Cases, Deaths Climbing. New Testing Site Opens

On Monday, Lee Health reported a record 629 COVID-19 patients in its hospitals, 8 of them under 18. Since Friday, there were 226 new COVID-19 admissions, 175 discharges and 22 deaths. Lee Health also opened a new testing site.
