Does Fort Myers Beach have enough law enforcement coverage to address the public safety issues it's now facing? At least two town councilman, Dan Allers and Jim Atterholt, believe increasing a police presence on the beach should be considered.

DeSantis Urges Corps to Reduce Harmful Discharges
On Monday the Governor urged the U.S. Army Corps to improve lake management to make more beneficial releases and send more water south during Florida’s dry season and to allow for flexibility to avoid harmful discharges in Florida’s northern estuaries.

LCSO Asking For Help in Lani Kai Murder
It's been almost a year since 22-year old Johnny Jackson was killed at the Lani Kai motel on Fort Myers Beach. The killer has not been arrested and now the Lee County Sheriff's Department is asking for help from the public.
Beach Cleanup Scheduled
The first Tunaskin Beach Keepers Club Virtual Cleanup will be Saturday, May 22nd and Sunday, May 23rd. The goal is for anyone participating to find an area in their local community to collect trash. You have until tomorrow to become a Beach Keeper ($40) in time to receive a club shirt for the event which is made 100% from recycled plastic bottles.
Memorial Ceremony At Library is Tomorrow

Donalds To Hold Veterans Town Hall
Congressman Byron Donalds will be hosting a town hall for Veterans on May 24th 6PM at American Legion Post 38, which is located on Jackson street in Fort Myers. Donalds will be giving vets a Congressional update and details about federal resources. He'll also take questions.
