Judith Frankel is now onboard with the Town of Fort Myers Beach. Her official title is Principal Planner and she'll report to Operations & Compliance Director Frankie Kropacek. Frankel comes to Fort Myers Beach from Surfside Florida.

Doc Ford’s Rum Bar & Grille has donated $3,000 to support The Sanibel School’s 2024 Blue Ribbin Classic Golf Tournament and Gala. All event proceeds go towards The Sanibel School programs and services.

Congratulations John Lai
Kim and I would like congratulate Sanibel Captiva Chamber of Commerce CEO John Lai who has taken the one-year position of chair of the Visit Florida Board of Directors. Lai moves up from second vice chair. Lai has been the SanCap Chamber CEO since 2017.

Tarpon Tourney Raises $125K For Wildlife Refuge
The 12th annual “Ding” Darling & Doc Ford’s Tarpon Tournament raised $125,000 for research at the J.N. “Ding” Darling National Wildlife Refuge on Sanibel. The sold-out tournament included 60 teams and 245 anglers vying for over $62,000 in cash prizes.
Farrell Running For Fire District
Keran Farrell has officially filed to run for the Fort Myers Beach Fire District. Farrell is running for seat 4, which is now occupied by Larry Wood. Wood is not running for reelection.
