Ruck Walk Raises Over $4,000

50 people put packs filled with weights on their back and walked 6 miles in the hot sun last Sunday to raise money for 2 organizations that help veterans. The event was organized by the owners of Rude Shrimp and Hammerhead Gym.

FMB Strong Honored With Big Award

SWFLinc recently awarded their INCredible awards and FMB Strong on Fort Myers Beach was named Non-Profit of The Year. The awards are given out to "leaders and businesses of Southwest Florida to commemorate the prosperous community they have built."

Caper Beach Club Walkaround

Tomorrow morning at 7:30 we're getting a tour of the Caper Beach Club on Estero Boulevard. The two buildings were heavily damaged by Hurricane Ian 19 months ago and they are getting close top opening up. Caper Beach Club is a condo community directly on the beach overlooking the Gulf of Mexico.

New Organization Launches Focused on Water

It's called Preserving Paradise and the focus is to keep both the ecology and economy thriving in Southwest Florida. The partnership includes four organizations –SanCap Chamber, Captains for Clean Water, The Everglades Foundation, and SCCF.

Merger Study to Cost Taxpayers $50,000

The total cost for the study is $100,000, according to Fire Chief Scott Wirth. Half of the cost will be paid by the Iona-McGregor Fire District which is who State Representative Adam Botana wants Fort Myers Beach to merge with. The cost did not sit well with Fire Commissioners.

Time Change For Church Service

Members at St. Raphael's Church want the community to know they are moving their Sunday morning service from 10AM to 9AM starting this Sunday. While the Church rebuilds they're holding services under a tent at 5601 Williams Drive where you are guaranteed healing, hope, and hospitality.
