The United States Coast Guard is hosting a ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark the opening of its new $26 million Fort Myers Beach facility at 719 San Carlos Drive Wednesday at 10AM.

For years the Fort Myers Beach government has claimed Key Estero Shops owner Carmine Naccarato was operating an illegal parking lot. Naccarato has ignored his code violation fines to the point the town is foreclosing on his property. However, it appears the town has made him an offer he'd be silly to refuse.

100% of the proceeds from the race will be donated to the Fort Myers Beach Woman's Club. The entire race will be run on the sandy beach starting in Times Square. You'll run past the Margaritaville Resort, turn around, run all the way to Bowditch Park, and finish back in Times Square just in time to enjoy the Farmers Market.

St. Raphael's will hold its regular Sunday Service at 10 AM at the Erickson and Jensen Shrimp docks (1100 Shrimpboat Lane off Main Street).  The Blessing Service will take place at 11 AM. 

Beach Talk Radio, the Estero Island Garden Club and the Town of Fort Myers Beach will be planting over 200 plants and dropping down 210 bags of mulch behind the wavy wall on Sunday, March 24th and Monday, March 25th, and you made this all happen.

Walkers Marine on Fort Myers Beach is hosting an Open House on Saturday, March 16th from 11AM to 3PM. Raffle proceeds from the event will be donated to FMB Strong.
