The Salty Crab on Estero Boulevard was totally destroyed by Hurricane Ian. The property on which the popular restaurant once sat is now being used by the Margaritaville developer to stage equipment and vehicles.

The popular church on Estero Boulevard is slowly being demolished. It's been about a week now since the demo began and Thursday we got a quick video update on how far along the demo is. Watch it HERE.

That was the message over 150 Condo Association Presidents and residents told the Fort Myers Beach Town Council Thursday. The Council held the special condo meeting to find out what the town could do to get their buildings open sooner and people back living on the island faster.

During our walkaround on Estero Boulevard last Saturday we stopped by Casa Playa (510 Estero) and noticed they had new windows and doors installed and wondered what their opening status was.

If the Fort Myers Beach Town Council approves the proposed 7-11 building at 1301 Estero Boulevard (next to The Whale) at its first February meeting, construction on the new convenience store should begin in the 4th quarter of this year.
