After a one year break due to the pandemic, the Roar Offshore National Championship Powerboat races are returning to Fort Myers Beach October 7th through 9th.

Permits are being submitted for the event now and a full schedule will be released in the coming weeks. The primary charity for the event this year will be the Fort Myers Beach Lions Club.

In 2019 thousands of people attended the 3-day event on Fort Myers Beach which included a parade, live entertainment and a race village.

Organizer Tim Hill tells Beach Talk Radio News, “We missed our fans and want to pick up where we left off when the rooster tails and engine roar quieted in 2019. Roar Offshore is back for 2021 and will once again be the APBA Offshore National Championship race. Our sponsors and volunteers helped make Roar Offshore the largest sanctioned Offshore Powerboat Race in decades and are counting on them to help guide us to a bigger and better race for 2021.”
