Sanibel Captiva Community Bank will expand the operating hours of its Fort Myers Beach temporary office beginning Wednesday, April 29th. 

Last weekend The Fort Myers Beach Communty Foundation held its annual King of Diamonds Casino Night at Margaritaville Resort where over $20,000 was raised. That money will be given back to the community during an upcoming Foundation meeting. 

With another busy season coming to an end on Fort Myers Beach, Lee County announced the free tram will run its last route Wednesday, April 22nd. Lee County provides the free tram every season with TDC funds.  

At 9AM Mark Wilson and the London Bay team will present their proposal to build on the old Outrigger property to the Local Planning Agency. It's one of the biggest project ever to be proposed post incorporation. 

Lee County, which owns the Fort Myers Beach Pier, is ready to go. The holdup is the Army Corps of Engineers. Without permits from the Corps all the county can do is wait.

Decorated Korean veteran and former Vice Mayor of Fort Myers Beach Joe Kozinski was honored at the Fort Myers Beach Library Saturday with the Quilt of Valor.

The weather was perfect for the 2026 Cruiser’s Appreciation Day Sunday sponsored by the Fort Myers Beach Anchorage Advisory Committee. The event is held every year at Bayside Park.

On Saturday Keep Lee County Beautiful sponsored a beach cleanup that started at Bowditch Beach Park on the north end of Fort Myers Beach. According to KLCB about 20 volunteers picked up over 300 pounds of garbage.

Get ready for an evening of baseball and team spirit at the Fort Myers Mighty Mussels game this Saturday. Gates open at 5 PM. First pitch is 6:05 PM. $5 from each ticket sold goes back to the Fort Myers Beach Woman's Club.
