To get your new hurricane pass you can go to the temporary Town Hall at 2545 Estero Boulevard, M-F from 8:30AM to 4:30PM. You'll need to bring proof you're a resident or business owner.
Has The South End of Fort Myers Beach Become Poison?
Some bird enthusiasts on Fort Myers Beach say there are "major conservation issues on the south end of Fort Myers Beach." Residents who live on the south end say they're doing everything they can to protect nesting shorebirds while also protecting their property rights.
Post Office Repairs to Cost $1 Million
That's according to a permit application recently submitted to the town of Fort Myers Beach. The 17,680 square foot Post Office on Carolina Avenue was recently assessed at $2.8 million so the $1 million in repairs fit under FEMA's 50% rule.

According to Turtle Time as of this week, there are now 61 turtle nests on Fort Myers Beach (up from 55 last week) and there have been 178 False crawls (up from 157) crawls. We are still waiting for our first nest to hatch on Fort Myers Beach.
Beach Theater Building Owner Proposes New Dock
Steve Boge, who purchased the old Beach Theater building at 6345 Estero, has filed a pre-application request with the town to construct a docking facility on a canal behind the building. Boge has to extract himself from some serious trouble first.
