Museum Launches Mangrove Exhibit
The National Shell Museum on Sanibel has launched a new mangrove exhibit within its Beyond Shells Living Gallery of aquariums. The exhibit is designed to educate visitors about mangrove conservation and water quality.

Dress Made of Trash Anyone?
In 2019, the “Ding” Darling Wildlife Society-Friends of the Refuge launched Project Refuge, a fashion show using trash as part of its celebration of the 75th anniversary and in support of the Wildlife Refuge on Sanibel. This year, on March 31, it brings back the runway competition and luncheon for DDWS’ 40th anniversary.
Friends of The Arts Fundraiser Set
Snug Harbor will host a Mardi Gras celebration on March 1st to benefit The Fort Myers Beach Friends of The Arts. In addition to Cajun food specials, there will be 50/50 raffles and a silent auction. The party runs from Noon to 6PM.
Ding Day Returns in April

No Additional County Funds Coming For Lights
On Tuesday the Lee County Board of Commissioners sent a clear message to the Fort Myers Beach Town Council: If you want to upgrade the lighting on Estero Boulevard you need to pay for it.

On Tuesday, the Lee Board of County Commissioners approved an agreement with the Florida Department of Transportation for $25 million in federal funds to assist with construction of the Big Carlos Pass Bridge.
Lovers Key Camp Registration For Kids Opens
