On Monday Lee Health reported that they've been discharging more COVID-19 patients than it has admitted. They are also treating the fewest number of pediatric COVID patients since August 19th. There are now 423 COVID-19 patients in Lee Health hospitals.

Due to federal COVID-19 restrictions the 33rd annual “Ding” Darling Day at Lakes Park in Fort Myers scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 10, has been postponed until spring 2022.

During budget discussions Thursday night councilman Bill Veach said he'd like to see parking rates raised from $3.00 to $5.00 and short-term rental applications raised from $50.00 to $300.00.
