Your Amber Lights Are Being Installed
According to FPL Southwest Florida Area Manager Charlotte Miller, the installation of 131 turtle-friendly amber lights on Estero Boulevard began Wednesday and should be completed by the end of next week.

The Sunday Outdoor Service is Back
St. Peter's Church at 3751 Estero Boulevard on Fort Myers Beach is holding another outdoor worship service this Sunday at 8:30 am. This service is open to everyone. Bring a lawn chair if you can.
New Marina Breaking Ground June 1st
Compass Rose Marina, a luxury marina located on Main Street on San Carlos Island, is set to break ground on a brand new facility Thursday, June 1st. The new dry rack storage facility will be built to withstand 200 MPH winds.

Tarpon Tourney Nets Big Money
The 11th annual “Ding” Darling & Doc Ford’s Tarpon Tournament on May 19th pulled in about $165,000 from sponsorships and donations to support water-quality research and conservation at the J.N. "Ding" Darling National Wildlife Refuge on Sanibel Island.

Pink Shell Pool Set to Reopen
The Pink Shell Beach Resort & Marina announced that its main pool, the Octopool, will be opening back up Memorial Day Weekend. The resort has been accepting reservations the past several months, however, with limited amenities due to the damage caused by Ian.
Picnic Island is All Cleaned Up
Picnic Island is located right off the coast of Sanibel Island. The small island was cluttered with litter and debris thanks to Hurricane Ian. Keep County Beautiful partnered with Adventures in Paradise to perform a cleanup.
