Our 5K Beach Race is Saturday

0
100% of the proceeds from the race will be donated to the Fort Myers Beach Woman's Club. The entire race will be run on the sandy beach starting in Times Square. You'll run past the Margaritaville Resort, turn around, run all the way to Bowditch Park, and finish back in Times Square just in time to enjoy the Farmers Market.

Where to Pick up Your 5K Shirt

We're 8 days away from our 5K event on the beach to benefit the Fort Myers Beach Woman's Club. We're holding a t-shirt/bib pickup Friday, May 10th from 4-6 at La Ola at Bell Tower. If you cannot make it, it's easy to just pick up your shirt and bib on race day in Times Square.

Margaritaville Announces New GM

Yenier Marrero is the new General Manager of Margaritaville on Fort Myers Beach. Marrero is being promoted from his position of Director of Guest Experience at the resort. He replaces David Cesario who took a job at The Naples Grande last month after being hired from Orlando to open the resort.

New Drink to Raise Funds For Captains

Three industrial sugarcane corporations filed a lawsuit in 2021 against the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers over the design and intended use of the Everglades Agricultural Area Reservoir. Captains for Clean Water has launched a campaign to get Big Sugar to drop that lawsuit.

The Town Council is expected to approve Ahtna Marine and Construction for the big dredging/pipeline renourishment project the town will begin this Summer. Ahtna was the only company out of three that met the criteria for the project and came in under budget.
